Do all TVs upconvert equally? Do some TVs upconvert better than others?
Is it possible that upconverting DVD players do a better job, with more 
expensive and more sophisticated hardware and software?

All upconverting is not the same, otherwise you would buy the cheapest 
upcoverting DVD player.
