That's a good point, my TVs will upconvert ANY signal input, and the BD 
player will upconvert SD material before sending it to the TV.  I've 
tried both and can see no difference between the two.

Full Disclosure:  It should be noted that the BD player here will output 
24fps/30fps material natively, and the TV can display 24fps/30fps 
material natively, and the AVR will do all this and more.

Further, it should also be noted that not all DVD players will output 
24fps natively, but will use a feature to convert 24fps to 30fps, often 
called "3:2 pulldown" for displays that only do 30fps - best implemented 
with a Faroudja engine (hint: Oppo), IMO, although there are other 
technologies also using the '3:2 pulldown' moniker.

Most im****tantly, do your own research.  Don't hang on flashy words used 
by sales droids, learn enough about the technology to make your own 
informed decisions predicated on your own situation.
