Well, there ya go, I've always thought standard DVD's were all native 
interlaced, and newer players offered a conversion to progressive 
output, ie. my newer old-ish Panny.

I suppose I'm one of those CRT people, having had my eyeballs buried in 
them for years now.  Many issues we've learned to live with just aren't 
around as much today, so yeah, one has to make adjustments.
