The DishTV box can be used without a phone line connection. The only
thing you lose is clicker access to PPV purchases, Caller ID display,
and some interactive stuff (whatever that is). If you have a home
network, connect an ethernet cable to the rear of the DishTV box and use
that instead. If you have neither and still want PPV, order it via
their website or do like a neighbor does and order PPV over the phone.
