I have no interest in Cinemax.  But I do wish the movie channels would go
with pure p24 formats (preferrably 1080p24).

Apparently they have at least 3 different fees they can hit you with for
HD.
One for the HD receiver, one for access to HD, and one for HD programming.
That's what my very critical and suspicious eye gets out of reading their
web site.

If I do go with DishNet, it will have to be on a non-commitment basis,
without
phone line hookup.  That probably means outright buying the receiver from
an
affiliate partner (the ViP722 looks interesting, and has an OTA section
that
might even work).  They won't provide the locals to me, so I have to get
them
OTA.

I'm also considering FTA, but I haven't found any HD programming on that,
yet.
SkyAngel used to be a satellite service compatible with DishNet.  But they
switched that to IPTV, which is not a suitable option.  DishNet has
limited
religious programming and FTA actually beats it for that.
