The Show Won't Die

by "Lee Gordon" <bucketofspam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 8, 2007 at 01:22 AM

I realize there may be nobody left in this newsgroup but it appears TLC
hasn't pulled the plug on Trading Spaces after all. I figured the shows
that have been running on recent Saturday nights (those "Trading Spaces
Wackiest Homeowners" or "Trading Spaces Most Memorable Linving Rooms"
-type
shows) were cobbled together from footage they must have shot a couple of

years ago and never did anything with. But this week's episode was brand
new and it appears there are more to come.

I'm now thinking the real reason they seem to have pulled the plug was
probably that most of the carpenters and designers were becoming famous
and
popular enough to start asking for bigger money than the producers wanted
to
pay. I know that most of the regulars have already moved on to their next

shows. Besides TY and Vern who are long gone, Amy Winn has a new show on
DIY, Carter has one on HGTV, Genevieve has a new show with her hubby Tyler

Harcott (from Junkyard Wars), and there probably are others. Now I wonder

if Frank is the only holdover from the old crew. I also wonder if anybody

is still watching.

Lee
