Folks,
The site at twinpeaks.org hasn't been updated recently, has it? It
seems that the DVD format was not invented when the information was
written...
Anyway, the site talks about a "European" version of the pilot, with
several added scenes, that virtually reveals who killed Laura, because
Warner Home Video wanted a "movie" that could stand on its own. Well,
since I am in Europe I got worried that my box set containing the
pilot and season 1 would contain the "European" version of the pilot.
But after checking the ending of the pilot today (it has been a while
since I saw it), I saw that the box set contains the original American
broadcast version of the pilot, which does not reveal Laura's
murderer. That sure was a relief...
Another topic at twinpeaks.org is the prequel, "Fire Walk With Me".
Apparently this movie was rather heavily cut before shown in theatres.
My question: The DVD version that has been released, which is 2 hours
and 9 minutes long, is that the "director's cut" as David Lynch wanted
it to be, or is it the theatrical version?
